File/Directory Deletion

Hi,
I recently started using FrontPage 2002 to publish our
website. There have been a few occasions where I've
changed the name of directories etc on our hard drive so
I would ideally like the original directory on the server
to be deleted.
FrontPage displays a dialog box stating that directory x
is on the server but not on the server and asks me
whether I would like to delete it.
I answer that I would and I check the log file afterwards
which states that the user had confirmed deletion.
The problem is that if I inspect the server after
publishing I see that the files/folders that I had asked
to have deleted are still intact on the server.

Is this simply a case of my not understanding what
settings are required in FrontPage or is this more likely
to be a problem with installation of the FrontPage
extensions at the server?

Any and all help/comments would be appreciated....

Thanks!

The folders/directories aren't deleted. Only the content.

You'll need to open the live web on the host server in FP, and delete the
directories.

Sometimes a directory/folder will not get deleted, just the files within them, in those case you
have to open the site directly in FP on the remote server and delete them.
