FPSE Deleteing Directories

I am having a problem where FPSE is deleting directories needed for my
webbased email client whenever I upload a page. My host's support basically
said it's just someting goofy that FrontPage does, and I either have to stop
using FrontPage, or deal with directories I need being deleted. I don't like
that answer, so I thought I'd check here.

Is it true FP deletes directories, and if so, can I make it stop it? (I have
the 2002 version of the server extensions.)

Below is part of the response from my host's support...

Actually, publishing with frontpage is what caused wmail to break. I have
re-installed it for you, so it is accessable now. The reason this happened is
because frontpage does a lot of things it has no reason to do such as delete
any directory that does not contain any files (which is the case with this
problem). Since wmail relies on some directories to be present even if they
do not contain files, it will break every time you publish with frontpage.
Your options are to either use another HTML editor such as Dreamweaver, or
use http://mail2web.com to access your e-mails via a web interface instead of
wmail.

No, that's silly. FP doesn't "delete directories that are empty" and in
particular FP does not delete directories created by other programs...

I don't know what wmail is specifically, but I'd suggest that your host
needs a new email server

I would recommend that you create folders with the same names in your local
version of your site, and then right-click on each one and choose "Convert
to web". The next time you publish local to remote, FP should leave the
remote folders alone.

First your email should not be stored within your web site. I would suggest finding another web
host.
