Recently upgraded from W98SE to XPPro and want to cleanse
some space to take the upgrade. Is it ok to click yes to
delete [a] office setup files 21,686kb windowns 98/me
installation files 557,710kb and [c] back up files for
previous operating system 356, 867kb? Thanks.

Hi Doug,

Yes, yes, and yes,

But (there's always a "but"), it also means that you will need to have your
Office CD handy anytime the system needs to install a piece from it. At
21MB, you may want to just leave those as it can be irritating when you are
prompted for an install disk and you can't locate it at that precise moment.

It also means that your option to uninstall WinXP and revert to Win98 will
no longer exist. As long as you are happy with the new OS, then dump 'em.
