Hi all

My file attachments on outgoing emails appear as icons n the main text body
of the message. How to I change it so that the attachments are listed in
the header? I have seen this happen so know it is possible. Thanks.

I am using variously versions 2002 and 2003

Change your message format from Rich Text to Plain Text or HTML.

Use a format other than Rich Text Format. Both Plain Text & HTML put the
attachments in the header

Thanks Roady (and Vince)

I find that my default settings for new messages is already set to HTML, not
Rich Text, and I confirm that for new emails it does put the attachment in
the header.

However I continue to have a problem when someone sends to me an email in
RTF, which I then wish to forward on with an attachment to someone else.
The default settiings in Tools Options does not override the format of an
existing message. Any way to do that?

Thanks

Outlook will always reply/forward in the same message format but while
composing the reply/forward you can simply change the message format.
