File Associations

I accidentally associated a file with a program I don't
want it associated with. The problem is that I don't
want the file associated with any program. How can I do
this?

Open an explorer, and under the tools menu,
choose 'folder options', then select the 'file types'
tab. Scroll through the list and find your problem
association, fix or delete...

Open: Tools > Folder OPtions > File types

Scroll down up the list until the EXT you registered shows
up, and delete it.

Right click on the file and choose open with, check the
box to allways open with and select the program you want
to associate it with. Theres always an easier way to do
things.

Look in Control Panel - Folder Options - File types. Highlight the
extension concerned in the pane and take Remove
