FIle Association

You will need to make a registry change first to allow changing file associations. The change is as follows:

HEKY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer

Change the value for NoFileAssociate to 0.

After you make this change, you can change file associations in the normal way through explorer\tools\folderoptions\file types.
