File and Transfer Issue - Cannot find data

I have just re-imaged my PC with the same copy of Windows XP and I used the
file transfer wizard on my old PC and saved the file twice on a network drive
(in different locations). Now that I have installed XP again on the new
image, I run FTSW and it shows the error "Data cannot be found in the file
you selected". I have two questions. 1. What is the file extension for the
data file of my previous data and settings? Maybe I am looking in the wrong
folder or file. 2. Am I doing something wrong? I really need help! Thanks
in advance!

When you ran FAST to do the export - did you run it from the Windows XP
installation CD or from the already installed version of Windows.

If the latter - what patch level was it at and is the current install at the
same patch level?

I did it from the copy of XP and I never checked the SP level that it was on.
What do I do to fix this? Is there any way to check? I have already
re-imaged so I am not sure there is any way to check.

Before you graciously responded, I am in process of installing SP3. I think
that I had SP3 on my last image.

Hi,
I work for a major utility company in Illinois and I am a field support
technician. We have recently pushed SP3 to most of our machines and did not
know that FAST was not compatible from SP2 to SP3. It will run the save on
the old machine but when you are running it on the new machine it will say
can not find files. They are saying there is a hotfix but I haven't seen it
yet. You need to check to see what pack you are running on both machines.
