File access problem on "old" XP drive

Last week I got the dreaded "lsass.exe object not found" problem, which, in effect, trashed my
Windows XP Pro installation. I installed XP Pro clean on a new drive, with SP1, the works, etc.
That is working perfectly. However, in trying to recover my files on the old drive, which is now
installed as a second drive, I am being denied access to several areas in my previous /Document
and Settings/Administrator directory -- Desktop, Favorites, My Documents (the one I really need),
and Start Menu. Is there a way I can regain access to those directories/files?

Thanks for any help.
