file access history

I want to determine previous times a file has been
accessed, aside from the last time. If this posssible
through the event viewer, or registry?

Sorry for the repeat post from earlier. I didn't think it
went through.

I received some insight on setting up an auditing
features ahead-of-time. This is good advice for future
reference. I was just hoping there might be some hidden
windows system file that keeps track of access attempts
to files.
