FIFA 2003 poor performance

Ive had this game for a while now and its never properly
worked, my spec is XP home, P4 2.53ghz, 512 ddr, 62mb ddr
geforce4 mx440 graphics and 80gb hdd, so why does FIFA
2003 run slow and stutter constantly, come to think of
it, most games seem to stutter on my machine when being
played at a high resolution, is my graphics card not good
enough? Ive got the latest drivers and still have
problems. Also i downloaded fraps to check the framerate
of games and it seems to be around 20 - 40 on most games
which i believe is low. If it is a graphics card problem,
then what card do you suggest i buy to be playing top
games at top resolution? Any help welcome, thanks, Mike.

Hi Mike,

The MX line of GeForce cards never impressed me. I would
visit the local hardware shop, and test drive a GeForce Ti card
such as the 4200 64MB and see if that delivers enough bang for
your buck otherwise try a higher model with more RAM.

BTW FWIW (don't you love acronyms?) I use a Ti4200 64 MB.

I have the exact same problem with my PC

I play Rainbow Six Raven Shield

My PC Specs are;
XP Home Edition
2.66Ghz Pentinum 4
256MB RAM
80GB HD
64MB GeForce MX 440 SE

Rainbow Six Requires
800Mhz Pentinum 4 (my PC aces that but still....)
129MB RAM
32MB Graphics Card

My PC aces all the requirements but still stutters really
bad on this game, most others play fine (MOH:AA, other R6
series, Delta Force etc)
