Hi,

When I attach a file to my email message, the file icon generally appears in
the body of the email message.

I've received email message where the attachment appears in a field, just
below the To, From, Date, etc. The field is called "Attachment" and the
filename and icon appear inside that field.

How can I change my options so that my attachments appear inside a field at
the top of the email message, rather than inside the body of the message?

Where they appear depends on which format you select. Try changing between
Rich Text, HTML and Plain Text and you'll see what I mean.

You forgot to mention the basic data - your version of Outlook. Here are
