I have tried to install a new FDD on my PC. However, the green light always
remain on and when I try to access the floppy it asks to insert disk,
whereas it already is. I have a P4 3.4 120GB SATA and D915PGN intel
Motherboard. Device manager shows "Flopy disk drive" after expanding the
Floppy disk drives + sign. I have checked all the cables but they seem to be
OK. ANy thing that I could be missing?

You have fitted the ribbon cable backwards on the drive connector.
Reverse it and all should be well.

Green light remaining on usually indicates the data cable is connected
backwards/upside down. Connect it properly and should have better luck.
The stripe on the cable indicates pin one connector.

Thanks Kinell and bob I. Your advice worked perfect. I just connected the
data cable the other way and now its working fine.
