Faxing with Windows XP Home Edition

Prior to purchasing my new IBM NetVista preloaded with
Windows XP home edition, I had Millennium as an OS in my
old computer and had WinFax Pro installed for my faxing
needs and never had any problems.

I purchased a new version of WinFax pro compatible with
XP, only to find out that XP does not support the
distinctive ring feature. I returned WinFax Pro and now
find myself without fax.

I just discovered that within Windows XP Home Edition
there is Fax software within the OS, I have found it,
activated it, but can not send or receive faxes.

Can someone help me sort this out?

Many thanks,

What are the symptoms of the problem to prevent you from sending fax's?
You are simply File/Print to the "fax printer", aren't you?
