Fax Merge From Access?

I need to be able to send mass faxes from Microsoft Access (2003
version) to many clients-similar to creating a mail merge, but faxing a
page to each fax number listed in the report instead.

I hae not been able to find a way to do this. We do not have MS
Exchange or MS Fax, as many sites recommend. We do have WinFax V10.0
but it seems that this version is not supported in XP, and I hear that
you can't WinFax anymore (in any version).

I looked on the Microsoft Developers page and tried a fix that required
creating a Visual Basic Procedure (which gave me a Compile error),
since I don't know what I'm doing in Visual Basic, I have no clue why
its not working.

I can't believe there isn't a way to do what seems like a pretty
standard task like faxing invoices to many clients.

I'd be willing to even have my company buy a new software if it can do
this task. Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks DatabaseBen for the link to the list of fax programs, I'll give
them a look. Have you had any success with any of them using Access?

no i havnt been in a position that required MSAccess to function
as a mass faxing software. But it can be done and I know that
building a customize version in MSAccess may not be worth the cost
if there is something on the market already..

On the other hand, if mass faxing from a customized msaccess database
is needed because it will generate lots n lots of money that regular
faxing software can not produce, then customization is the way to go.

Keep in mind that the faxing softwares that have been developed
do incorporate database engines. What seperates the regular/generic
softwares from the rest are the ones that have been designed/
programmed to integrate with MSOffice applications. And these programs
will happily announce this capability because
they know the demand/money is there.

Let me know what you find out or if you need some more information...

never tested them.

basically, the fax programs are
like databases but have a dialing
capabilities.

look for the ones that offer "office application" integration
capability.
