Fax from computer

I am using XP Pro, SP2 andhave been told that I can fax from my computer
even though I do not have a fax machine. Is this possible, and, if so, how?

Windows XP has a built-in fax component. If you have a fax modem installed
in your computer, you can use it. Go to Help and Support and type Fax.

If you have a DSL or cable internet connection and don't have a fax modem,
you can still do it indirectly. Go to one of the several web sites that
offer fax services and do it from there. A google search will turn up
several choices for you.
