Fax answers even with fax software switched off

Can anyone help?
I have BVRP software installed called Fax Tools Fax via my printer.
The computer still answers even with fax software switched off. When
running it is set to switch on after 5 rings.
If I switch it off the computer still answers on a fax tone after
approximately 12 rings.
Microsoft Fax is uninstalled and I have Outlook Symantec Fax Starter edition
switched off via Tools/Options/Advanced/ Ad In manager.
