Favourites in L/H pane of browser - no sort option?

When using the favourites menu from the tool bar a right click gives a menu
option of "Sort by name" .

But when I used the fixed favourites in the left hand pane of a browser (
which I prefer) this option is not available.

Can I add this "Sort by name" option through registry and if so instructions
please.

Sorry, but you cannot use "Sort by name" from the favorites panel in
IE. There is no Registry option to do that.

Thats a shame its been annoying me for years!!
