My Favorites have disappeared from my Internet Explorer
6.0, though the file still exists on the computer. How
do I get the list back on my pull-down window?
 
Perhaps the Registry reference is wrong?
You can change the value of Favorites in the Registry in these
two keys: (ignore the second if the value is not there)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders
