Favorites reset to what it was months ago..

my favorites all of the sudden went back to what was
saved months ago. so i lost my new favorites, and have a
list of sites i had deleted. anyone know why it would
reset?

Do a search for *.URL files in the hard disk. They may be present in some other location. Note down the location of these items. Open Registry Editor and see what values are present in these locations:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserShell Folders
-and-
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders

Post the value data assigned to "Favorites".
