favorites missing from standard toolbar XP

Does anyone know how to fix the standard toolbar in xp explorer. My
favorites menu intermittently disappears from the toolbar. Not Internet
Explorer or office but the windows explorer window.

Thanks

Try right+clicking on the Standard Buttons toolbar and left+clicking
the Customize option. Once you are in there, see if Favorites is an
option to be added. If it is, it'll be in the left box and you'll be
able to add it to the right box.

Thanks for the response, that does work, however, it is a different function.
If I click on that favorites, it opens the left side pane. If I could get
the favorites back in the standard toolbar, it would allow me to pick from a
drop down menu that "closes itself" when I choose which favorite I want. I
was hoping for a registry hack to fix the toolbar whenever it misbehaves.
