Faulty Import from OE6

I am reinstalling Outlook 2003 following a HD crash (so complete HD reformat and new install of WinXP). Previously stopped using Outlook maybe around early March (see below) since couldn't get it to initialise a DUN session using IE settings (had to manually set the DUN connection which is a pain when travelling). In the meantime I have been using OE6 (had saved OE messages etc in backups)

Now am having another go at Outlook 2003 and have new problem: when importing messages from OE6
(1) No received date is imported (so all "Today"
(2) No messages (received or sent) post March 11th imported (regardless of what date I try to import - have tried on a few consecutive days)

Do I finally give up on Outlook 2003 and stick with OE6 (which is perfect exp won't archive) ??

To rectify (1) received date, export from OE to OL, not import in OL
