In the folder Windows\System32 on my WinXT computer is a
file called "atx45.ocx". It causes my PC to hang upon
starting AND at any time the ocx file attempts to open. I
noticed it today when my computer wouldn't start: had to
use my NAV CD to start the PC. While performing a scan
operation of the entire PC, the scanning process got hung
up on that file. (Note: I do not have any virus'; checked
that with NAV.)

Is the file critical for something? or can I delete it?
Better yet, how can I replace it with a good file?

Any thoughts/ideas would be most appreciated. Thanks in
advance.

I did a Google search on ATX45.OCX and found pages of references - you can
do the sme.

It seems to be a file related to the Mouse wheel, be sure
you have that mouse, else uninstall the software.

You can also just try uninstalling the software and
updating the driver for the mouse you are using from
Microsoft's Windows Updates.

Good luck!
