Does anyone know why I may be receiving the error below when I close IE6? I
am running XP Pro SP1. This happens after I open a .htm file attachment in
Outlook 2002. I attach the file to a new mail message; I open the attachment
directly from the new mail message before I send the message. The attachment
opens in IE fine, but when I close IE, I get the error. When I open the .htm
outside of Outlook and close IE, I don't have a problem. I cannot replicate
the problem opening the same attachment on another computer running the same
XP, Outlook, and IE version.

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2800.1106, faulting module
shdocvw.dll, version 6.0.2800.1606, fault address 0x0009615e.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

What is the Event ID and Source?

Make an exact note of the precise text of any error message. Minor
discrepancies can
make it harder to search for information about the error message.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer.
When researching the meaning of the error, information regarding Event
ID, Source
and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the
error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a button
resembling two
pages. Double click the button and close Event Viewer. Now start your
message
(email) and do a paste into the body of the message. This will paste the
info from the
Event Viewer Error Report complete with links into the message. Make
sure this is
the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer.
