I have had my XP for about 2 months.
Inspired by this forum, decided to open Windows Explorer.
Found it listed in Accessories, clicked it.
Surprise! It was My Documents. Did a Search of hard drive,
found another WE file, it was ALSO My documents. Not smart
enough to have done this myself...

I don't get it. Never had a virus, according to McAfee.
Not sure what I want to use WE for, but would like it all
the same.
How to look on my CD to see if it is on there (better be!)?
Just insert CD and search it for WE?
Ever heard of something so strange?

Windows Explorer is a program used for finding and working with files.
It is another view of My Computer, with the 'tree' of folders on the
left. The 'shortcuts' set up to run it, like the one in accessories,
are set so it starts looking in My Documents, on the assumption that
this is what you are likely to want. Each user of the machine has BTW
an individual folder called My Documents, and it is his own one that
will show up
