Exact thing that happened to me today a few minutes ago. Reinstalling
Win XP and
suddenly got an error. Plus, your BIOS and Win XP password are
different. In other words, they aren't related. It's because since your
copy just stopped, a random password was assigned to a user account. My
copy was creating a recovery partition.
Then I got the error. I lost all the data on the HD, but its
reinstalling fine now. Maybe your disc is dirty. Or, your CD/DVD drive
is faulty. That's what happened. Try erasing everything and trying
again, or just get a new computer. Saves you time and money.
