fatal error w/ norton antivirus

something happened to my norton antivirus and when
uninstalled and deleted to reinstall using dell reinstall
cd stops installing fatal error
using windows xp

Search Symantec.com for the removal tool Rnav2003.exe.
Use it to completely remove NAV, then reinstall
