fatal error (5daff58h)

While installing windows XP Home Edition over a windows
98se computer I recieved two error messages:

cannot transfer E:\1386\mfc42.dll to
C:\windows\setup\mfc42.dll

cannot transfer E:\1386\migisol.exe to
C:\windows\setup\migisol.exe

Then I recieved a fatal error message of (5daff58h)

on the first two error messages my computer was trying to
access the floppy A:\ drive.

any help is appreciated.

p.s. E:\ is my CD drive
C:\ is my hard drive
