I wanted to ask about how to use a floppy under NTFS?

The same way you use it under fat32. Put it in, format the floppy and then
write files to it. If you mean can you format as NTFS the answer is NO!

Ahhhhh, there lies the problem. Normally this is not possible because NTFS cannot be read from a normal boot disk, but if you go to http://www.sysinternals.com/ and dowload the Free programs NTFSDOS or NTFSDOS Professional you will be able to access NTFS from a boot disk.

It's a bootable repair CD that reads/writes to NTFS harddrive. You can add
lot of tools like Ghost and Nero. It's the coolest tool ever for repairing
WinXP.

Greetings --

All Windows operation systems use the FAT12 file system for floppy
disks.

WinXP can read FAT12 (the file system used on 3.5" diskettes),
FAT16, FAT32, CDFS (the file system used on most CDs), and NTFS with
equal facility. Further, the file system on any one disk/partition or
diskette has absolutely no affect upon the operating system's ability
to read other compatible file systems on other disks/partitions.

You don't use a floppy under NTFS. You use a floppy under FAT12
(a better way to say it is that all standard floppies use the
FAT12 file system).

What file system or systems exist on your hard drives is
completely irrelevant. You use the floppy exactly as you would in
any other operating system, and just as if your hard drive were
FAT32 or FAT16.
