If I switch from Fat32 to Ntfs, does that totally
reformat my hard drive. Will I lose everything, just like
a completeley new installation? Please Help...

No. The convert command converts what's there, leaving all your
files intact.

But note that there are no guarantees. It's always possible that
something can go wrong, so it's certainly prudent to be sure you
have a backup of anything you can't afford to lose before
beginning.

You can switch from fat32 to ntfs quite easily. No disaster Microsoft news
recommends people to use Win XP Pro and also encourage the use of NTFS
instead of the old fat32. Using the NT technology is much more stable and
prone to attack than fat32. Go to the command
prompt--Start\Programs\Accessories\Command Prompt and type convert c:
/fs:ntfs Good Luck

Not unless there is a disaster - but back up data first just in case.

I thank you all for the information. I am going to try
what has been suggested. I first will try to back up all
irreplacable info onto cd. I will definetely respond back
to let you know of the success or failure of this. Thanks
again.
