I have an old PC, but is upgraded to XP. How do I speed it up. I have tried
the RegCure or something like that. It doesn't work. What choices do I have?

I also have a buzzing noise going on. It just drives me crazy. How do I fix
that?

1. There isn't much you can do to speed up XP on an old machine. How fast is
it and how much RAM does it have?

2. There is no way for us to diagnose a "buzz". You'll have to open the
machine and figure out where it's coming from. Bad fan bearings are a prime
suspect.

How old? What is its hardware configuration? What processor, how much
RAM, etc.?

Short of making major hardware changes, in most cases you can *not*
significantly speed up an old computer running XP. And making the
required hardware changes often cost more than just buying a new
computer. Most old computers just aren't fast enough to run XP
satisfactorily.

XP doesn't run well on old PCs. The best you can do is Windows 2000.
Open your case to find out where the buzzing is coming from (loose
bolt, fan, P/S, etc.)

Since the best you can do is refer us to a program "something like
that", then maybe you'd do better to start over.

Oddly, in the last few days I sometimes get a buzz from my PC. A new
tenent moved in the next 4 doors down in the apartment complex I now
live in. I have no idea yet what is causing it. My guess is that its
from one of his car radios as he has lots of antennans on his truck.
