Fast user switching not working

Hi. I have xp pro and for some reason fast user
switching will not work. It's set for the GUI logon that
is all blue and stuff. I click on the fast user
switching option in user accounts and push apply, and
click back to the window where u enable the option and it
isn't checked. Any suggestions. I'm not on a domain if
that helps.

Hi Paul,

Some networking protocols do not support it either. Check that only the
essentials are installed in the properties of your network connection (which
ones are required is determined by your connection type and the service
provider).
