fast user switch feature not working

Even with welcome screen and allow fast user switch ENABLED,. Although I can
re-login to the current user.I cannot switch between administrator accounts.
I'm brought back to the Welcome screen even with the correct password typed
for the other admin account. Nothing is loaded for the user and I find myself
back to the Welcome screen.

ANY FIX?

Not much help, I'm afraid, but I have almost identical problem. Suddenly, if
I try to switch user it appears to be trying to do it, then flicks back to
the list of users screen. Only way around it is to restart the machine, which
rather defeats the object!

Only thing I've done that might have caused it was to update my ATI Radeon
graphics drivers, but I can't see why that would matter

Try a rollback via the Device Manager.

Before I saw your post I used ATI's uninstall function on their update, and
then reinstalled my original graphics driver from CD - it does seem to have
sorted the switch user problem (fingers crossed), though I've also now
noticed that I can't write data to a CD as it claims to be full (even when
blank!) - I'm sure that's also a Windows corruption caused by the ATI update.

BTW - saw your mention of Alex - I didn't know anything had happened - he
only lived a few miles away from me, in Bournemouth. Like you, he has
provided so much useful info on this newgroup.
