Not a Vista file. Try to figure out what fast.exe is. Then disable it from
running at startup. Have any old power toys installed? One of those used a
fast.exe.
The file is a part of the "fast user switching" "feature" of windows. I
disabled it with msconfig but I still get an error message on every bootup.
Yes I did have xp powertoys installed at the time of my upgrade. Of course it
wont uninstall so now I guess I'm stuck with a reformat to fix it.
Well I removed "fast.exe from my /system32 folder and all is well. Old
windows power toy, dated 9/01.
