Fast book scanner?

I just got a Canon LIDE 70. It seems to scan books accurately enough,
but it takes about 20 seconds for an A4 page using Omnipage 15. Can
anyone recommend any faster but accurate scanners?

Are you wanting scans as graphics, i.e. images, or are you OCRing to
text? If the latter, 20 seconds sounds pretty good. If you are wanting
images as against text output, a faster way is to use a good digital
camera. You can shoot as fast as you can turn the page.
