AOpen use something called SilentTek for their motherboards. It allows you
to to turn off or slow down your cpu fan at temperatures of your own choice.
SilentTek is not perfect, so I would like to know if there are other
motherboard brands with a low noise feature like that?

Abit has their FanEQ (part of the BIOS) in some models and their µGuru
chip on others.
