Over the last few weeks I've had several of the above
fake Microsoft emails. Luckily Outlook Express has
deleted the attachments. Will these emails just stop
arriving eventually or can I do anything to stop them?

Many thanks,
Bri.

Until people who have you in their address book get rid of it, there's not
much you can do to stop them, but you can filter out a lot of them based on
keywords that are common to a lot of them. "Several" isn't a lot based on
what some people are reporting.

The best defense is not posting a real (or at least not an important) email
address on newsgroups.

My Internet Service Provider scans email for viruses and worms when it
arrives at the mail server. Many ISPs do. If your ISP doesn't, you might
want to consider changing ISPs.
