Failure to open messages in Outlook 2007

When double clicking on a message in Outlook, I get the "Microsoft Office
Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." message. I then click do or don't report the error, the
program closes and reopens and THEN I can open the message, until the next
time, and then I have to repeat the process. Anyone have any ideas?

PS: I have been attempting to install B2R without any success.
