failure to go into standby mode.

Windows XP (Home Edition) is suddenly refusing to go into
standby mode. A warning message says standby was
prevented by my keypad driver. This is the default 102 key
pad driver automatically loaded by Win XP. This is a new
problem. My system used to standby without problem. There
are four users in my family but the problem persists even
with all users logged out. I have current graphics and
soundcard drivers and I am not sure what changed to cause
the problem.

Try unplugging keypad then try standby. If this works, look
for stuck key.If not, look in device manager for problem
with keyboard.If this is a usb type,look for a 822603
Windows update....Good luck.
