failed to query TCP/IP

I jsut installed up Windows XP pro and I am having an issue
with networking. Basically it is not working and when I
try to hit the "repair" in the control panel/network
connections, I get the above message "failed to query
TCP/IP. However, looking at the adapter, TCP/IP is
installed and according to winXP working properly. I also
tried a ping but all I got was something like "failed to
connect to IP driver, error 2" ANyone seen anything like
this. Please reply to my e-mail address. I am trying to
re-install now to see if that helps.

Hi,

You can try resetting the TCPIP stack with netsh, see 299357 How to Reset
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in Windows XP
