When I right click to do anything I get the error message "failed to load
recource DLL" with an OK button. I click and then everything proceeds
aparently normally. I'm using XP Home on a 2 year old eMachine laptop.

Right-click problems are most often caused by third-party extensions in
the context menu. Troubleshoot these by using the free ShellExView
program.

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers -

Manage the context-menu entries for folders, drives and Namespace
objects - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/context_folders.htm
