Failed install

I am trying to install an update KB949041 PowerPoint viewer security update.
Install keeps failing error code 0x4397 anyone know how I can fix this?

While installing do you or did you put the Office install CD into your CD-ROM ???? You need to leave it in there for this install of the PP Viewer security Update.

The reason being is that you do not have or you removed the MSO Cache folder

I do not have Office, I just have Works Suite 2005 and downloaded the "free"
PowerPoint viewer.
While installing do you or did you put the Office install CD into your
CD-ROM ???? You need to leave it in there for this install of the PP Viewer
security Update.

The reason being is that you do not have or you removed the MSO Cache folder

You need the original CD-ROM.

IMHO, get rid of PP Viewer 2003 in Add/Remove and then get PP Viewer 2007.

Uninstall the PowerPoint viewer you currently have installed.
(Assuming XP: Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs)

Download and install this one:
