fail to creat EWF partition

I am using XPE with SP1. I have configured XPE to use RAM overlay. I am
using a 40 GB HD that has 2 partitions on it, and about 39G of
unpartitionned space at the end of the HD. The EWF is not enabled by the
FBA. But there is something wrong during FBA. Here is part of the log:

10:34:21 AM - ConfigureEwf() Start.
10:34:21 AM - Getting EWF config parameters from registry.
10:34:21 AM - Non El Torito disk configuration.
10:34:21 AM - EWF Partition Size = 0 (KBytes), Levels = 1, Volumes = 1.
10:34:21 AM - Protected Volume Config #0 :
10:34:21 AM - Disk= 0,Part= 1,DiskType= IDE,Type= RAM.
10:34:21 AM - Enable= Disabled, Optimize= 0, LazyWrite= N.
10:34:21 AM - Found 1 Hard Disks.

10:34:21 AM - Can't create EWF partition size = 0x000000000000fc00 on
disk# 0.
10:34:21 AM - Failed to create EWF partition.
10:34:21 AM - ConfigureEwf() End, status = 0x80070057.

I added the EWF components as the articles on MSDN. And I searched on this
group, found no thread about this problem.
What can I do to be sure that the EWF will initialize properly during the
FBA ? Is there any special configuration?

Thanks in advance.

Try this search it mention few times this problem.

Your partition layout is too complex.
Try using only primary partitions.
Or leave some unpartitioned space in extended partition.
