EZ-Bios problem

I'm trying to get my old system (Biostar M6TLA MB, Award 4.51 bios) to
adopt a SIIG Ultra66 ATA PCI controller as the controller for my 20g
WD Hard Drive, but the system won't boot from the card, reporting
"primary hard-disk fail". It works fine when I hook it back up to the
MB primary controller. I think my problem is the EZ-Bios overlay on
the drive as SIIG says to uninstall any overlay before trying the
card. I have searched WD's site and asked their email support for
help on how to go about uninstalling the EZ-Bios, but am finding next
to nothing to help. Some other forums suggest that I load a program
called EZ-Drive, go to advanced options, there finding the EZ-Bios
uninstall program, but I can't find EZ-drive in the WD Lifeguard Tools
disk I have. I did find the EZ-Drive v. 9.06 on Driverguide, but am
hesitant to use it until I find out more. I'm thinking that the
EZ-Install program on the WD Lifeguard Tools disk is the later version
of EZ-Drive. Is this right? If so, EZ-Install doesn't seem to have
the "advanced options" option with the uninstall program. If someone
could straighten me out, I'd appreciate it.

You need to boot from your EZ-Drive floppy
then disable EZ-Drive

once you have it disabled...you may then uninstall it entirely...
