I'm considering using EZ Armor for virus protectin. Any
pros or cons from users will be greatly appreciated.

Rishon,

I've just bought it (1wk ago) and detection is great. As usual, I tested with EICAR string (basic test) and worked out. Next, with email attachments. Works great. As for the definition updates, I have already 4 update notifications for the month. Though all are minor release updates. Overall, a good AV.

EZ Armor guard comprises of AV and a firewall, which is powered by Zone Alarm.

Thank you for your good comments on EZ Armor.
Do you know how to get rid of 'Coolshade', a blank screen
that covers the monitor when on the internet.

Ramesh & Rishon,
I believe that if you have ordered the MS Security Update CD, there is a free offer for one (1) year of CA's EZ Armor LE version. This will include a firewall & antivirus program.

I have been using the paid (EZ-Trust v6.1) Antivirus program going on 3 years now, and previous free Inoculant IPE program for a couple years before that. I believe the AV program is very good, never had a problem with a virus using it. One thing that I did notice, it never had problems interacting with different versions of Windows, especially the IE/OE programs, like the Norton & McAffee programs have in the past. I have other programs handling pop-ups, spam, and use a firewall that came with my router, so I never tried the full version of EZ Armor.

Ramesh, I usually average a daily signature update, during the week, none on the weekends, there are exceptions sometimes. And ocassionally several during a single day (when there is alot of virus activity), many as you say could be minor updates for the day. I guess I prefer that, than a scheduled monthly one as the big AV providers do, but that is just my opinion.

Ramesh & Rishon I think you will be very happy with the AV component of the EZ Armor Security suite.
