EXTREMELY annoying... how to fix this this setting in Windows Mail

I have half a dozen websites and in windows mail I have email addresses setup
for each website.... so I have a lot of email addresses. The problem is that
when I am compsing anew message and have to select which email address i
want to sned the message from... (you know from the drop down box). BUT the
email address are listed very randomly so it makes it a huge hassle for me to
have to sit here and search for the email address.

If it were listed in organized manner alphabetically it would me a breeze.

I though it lists them in the order your created the email account...
however this isn't true... after I create d afew email accounts it suddenly
took them out of order again. VERY frustrating that windows mail is this
poorly designed/organized.

Is there a way to even fix this?

If you will drop down your list of contacts and somewhere on that list,
RIGHT MOUSE click, you will see a menu item to "Sort By" and you can choose
several ways to sort the list. If you add more, you will have to sort again
of course.

You completely misunderstood the problem. I am NOT referring to my contacts
list. I have several different websites myself and have several different
email addresses for my own websites. When I am composing a message you must
select which email address YOU want to send the email FROM.

I must select what email address I want to send the email FROM... this must
be selected from that drop down box. How can I make then list MY email
addresses in order? I'm not talking about other peoples "contacts" at all.

I'm not aware of any way a user can fix this.
I have submitted a bug report to Microsoft for the same issue in Windows
Live Mail. Microsoft will not make any improvements to Windows Mail,
but Windows Live Mail is actively being improved.

Thanks I see, that's a big shame. I find it to be really ridiculous they
don't have a setting to this this problem. It just lists your own email
addresses in the "FROM" drop down box randomly and if you have a lot of email
addresses it's a hassle. It needs to list it organized so I can instantly
find the desired address.

Incidentally, Windows Live Mail handles this issue differently.
Each account gets its own group of mail folders. If you start a
new message while the account folder of interest is highlighted,
the From address will automatically be from that account.
The downside is that for users with many accounts, the account
folders in the left pane can get voluminous.
The upside is that account folders can be collapsed to one line
each, and you can rearrange them any way you want.
