I'm printing a report with 5 pairs of controls side by side in the Detail
Section to display Old vs New values for fields. The display is accurate, but
there is extra space between each detail record. All controls are set to Can
Grow and Can Shrink, but blank values in the controls does not cause the
space to disappear. Even though the number of pairs of controls displaying
info varies from 1 pair to 5 pairs, the actual space from record to record
remains the same. Any help appreciated.

What are the types of controls? Are there check boxes or labels? What do you
mean by "blank values"? Are the fields actually Null or zero-length-strings?
Is the section set to Can Shrink: Yes?
