More than likely they are all just pointing to one "My Pictures" folder,
right click on each of them and select properties and see if they point to
c:\documents and settings\"user name"\my documents.

That is an interesting trick. However, I'm not sure that's my exact
problem. Upon further study, I believe this is what I have:
I have a shortcut/echo copy of My Documents which displays itself between
Desktop and My Computer in Explorer. There is a My Pictures (and My
Everything Else) under My Documents in both locations (under Desktop and
under My Computer/Documents and Settings/Dave/My Documents).
But when I expand the My Documents just below Desktop, there is also a My
Pictures folder - and this is the one I want to get rid of.
Confusing?
