Extra long file names

[Quagga.R.T.M]

I've downloaded some files and I can't do ANYTHING with them.

I can't open them, I can't rename them and I can't even delete them.

I believe it's because their names are too long?

What can I do?

Try from Command Prompt :
Click Start > RUn
Type cmd > CLick OK
cd "your directory path here"
ren "your old filename here" "newshortfilename"

Try Unlocker :

I was just thinking how wonderful life was, when "Quagga.R.T.M"

What can I do?

1) Tell *exactly* what happens when you try to do something with those
files.

2) Telling how long a file name is would be handy.

3) Giving an example of one of the file names would also be helpful.
