External table is not in expected format

Hi
I have researched this error and I am getting no where. I have a
DBF file that opens fine on one computer using Access 2000 as a dbFile. I
brought it home to do some work on it running the same version of access and
I get an error "external table is not in expected format" Why would it work
on one computer and not the other? is there a setup problem on the one at
home. Is it something simple I am overlooking?

Your Access installations are different. You might change the Office
installation at home to be sure it understands DBF files.

Alternatively, your version of Excel at home may know just what to do.
In that case, load the vile into Excel and then save it as a .XLS or
..CSV.
