External Hyperlink to Calendar Item or Inbox Message

Is it possible to create an external hyperlink to a calender item or a
message in the inbox, similar to the way to can create an external hyperlink
to an outlook contact?

i.e. typing the following in explorer will open the outlook contact
information for "John Doe":

outlook:Contacts/~John Doe

Is there such a format to open an inbox message or a calendar item? If so,
how do you know what the "Item Name" would be?

The format for an external hyperlink to a message in the inbox would be:

Outlook:Inbox/~Subject of message

How do I then select between messages that have the same subject?

I there such a format for Calendar items? If so, what would consist of a
valid "Item Name"
